ASA2 - University of Reading

On 17-18 June 2014 the University of Reading is proud to host ASA2 - the second Annual Student Archaeology conference.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to get their work heard by their peers from many universities and related disciplines. Who knows, they might be your future colleagues one day!

The conference is shaping up to be an event that will cover a wide range of subject areas, so there will be something for everyone in each of the sessions:

• World Prehistory
• Bronze Age to the Classical World
• Roman
• Medieval
• Post-Medieval
• Animals and Humans
• Archaeological Science
• Childhood in Archaeology
• Culture and Heritage
• Issues and Debates
• Theory and Practice

An exciting two-day programme is being developed for ASA2, including a medieval tour of Reading and a trip to the local Roman town of Silchester, where the University of Reading has excavated for the last 18 years. The full schedule can be found here.

We look forward to meeting you at ASA2 in June,

ASA2 Organising Committee
